Dodgy are the Spinal Tap of Brit Pop. They are a power trio, and even have a guy in the band named Nigel. At times, they try to match wits with music itself, which is common in the United Kingdom. Call it something in the water or just a case of too many bands in one small country. When you grow up with your babysitters and homeroom grade-school teachers on the cover of NME, your take on music tends to be less serious than someone in the Deep South who grew up on Otis Redding. Dodgy take traditional Classic Rock influences and fuse them with a hyperactive childish energy to create an electric charged Power Pop built on inside jokes and sugary snack cakes that you can only buy in the tube stations of Camden Town.
