Boston pop merchants with an overstock of catchy melodies and prettily harmonized choruses. Gigolo Aunts apply only moderate doses of the deliberate bouts of dissonance often found in Indie Rock. They're more interested in mellifluous melodies and lyric preciosity -- kind of like Big Star if you took away the gloom and orneriness that made them brilliant.
