Former Veruca Salt vocalist Nina Gordon has taken a page out of Madonna's book by completely reinventing herself. Gordon presents a fresh, beautiful vocal style not utilized -- or even hinted at -- in her former band. She has gone from screeching banshee to haunting chanteuse, and the transformation is staggering. Lush orchestration and winsome strings play up the dream-like quality of her vocals.
