If you can divorce Johnny Rotten from his later incarnations (P.I.L. and Johnny Lydon), it's much easier to swallow this foray into electronica. Lydon's take on Euro-pop is a low-key affair -- not overly obnoxious, but not overly stimulating either. Lyrically, Lydon is as on-target as he's ever been, putting together meaningful songs set against a solid stepping beat.
