Hailing from Harlem, N.Y., and signed to Bad Boy, Loon is the latest New York emcee to flip a super-relaxed, lackadaisical flow, following in the footsteps of Mase and Fabolous. The son of some infamous uptown hustlers, Loon was shipped out to Beverly Hills in his teenage years and went to high school with future celebrities Angelina Jolie and Monica Lewinsky. After paying his dues and enduring some industry shadiness -- failed label deals and being a member of Mase's disastrous Harlem World project -- Loon finally got his big break in 2002 with his show-stealing verse on P. Diddy's huge hit "I Need A Girl." In 2003, Loon released a self-titled debut album full of collaborations with an assortment of rap and R&B mega-stars.
