Ray Beez of Warzone was one of Hardcore's most garrulous talking heads. Not since Jimmy Pursey of Sham 69 has Punk had a spokesman so devoted to "the good fight" and so vocal in telling others how to fight it. Beez sang for tolerance, justice, self-respect, unity. Every Warzone anthem was essentially a harder, faster version of "We Are the World." In retrospect, the band's youth-springs-eternal optimism and golden intentions took real integrity, and they deserve credit for daring not to be jaded and angry just for the sake of being jaded and angry.
